Università degli Studi dell’Insubria (UNINSUBRIA) - Leading Beneficiary, involved in Research Nodes 3


The University of Insubria (Varese and Como campuses) has 12,000 students, 380 technical-administrative staff and 440 lecturers and researchers. Research activity is conducted in 8 Departments: 5 located in Varese and 3 in Como, in the 56 Research Centres with the support of the ICT Services, Libraries and a Research and Innovation Office. The educational offer, consisting of 43 courses including three-year degrees, single-cycle master's degrees, and master's degree courses, 8 research doctorates and 20 specialisation schools, covers a wide range of disciplines, from life and environmental sciences to hard sciences, from humanities and law to economics and engineering.

Università degli Studi di Salerno (UNISA) - Beneficiary, involved in Research Nodes 3,5


The University of Salerno is the second largest University in Southern Italy for number of students (near 40,000) and it is organized in 17 Departments and two campuses: the main one in Fisciano, covering over 1,200,000 m2 and hosting most structures, and the Baronissi campus, over 150,000 m2, dedicated to the Department of Medicine. A third centre is located in Avellino. EQF6 and EQF7 courses together come to a total of 93 courses offered, spanning from life and health sciences to hard sciences, from humanities, law, economics and social sciences to engineering and informatics.

Azienda ospedaliera di rilievo nazionale "A. Cardarelli" (CARDARELLI) - Beneficiary, involved in Research Nodes 3


The "A. Cardarelli" National High Specialization Hospital is a public entity that provides healthcare services with significant functions and responsibilities. It ensures healthcare assistance over a broad territory, serving not only the city but also the province and the Campania region, and it is a reference point for other regions of Italy, particularly in the South. The hospital is equipped with highly specialized complex operational units, focused on three main areas: assistance, teaching, and research. The cooperation and integration of all the professionals working within the hospital enable the achievement of the overarching public assistance objective.

Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Pisana (AOUPI) - Beneficiary, involved in Research Nodes 3


The Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Pisanais represented in the SEPSOT-CODE consortium by Transplantologists, Dr. Davide Ghinolfi, interim head of the Division of Hepatic Surgery and Liver Transplantation of teh AOU-Pi, Dr. Paola Carrai, hepatologist of the transplant center and a microbiologist, Prof. Semih Esin. AOU-PI is the second largest university hospital of the Tuscany region and is integrated with the University of Pisa. With over 1,200 beds AOUPI ensures high levels of health, placing the patient at the center and emphasizing the service as an integral part of the provision.

ASST Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda (NIGUARDA) - Beneficiary, involved in Research Nodes 3


Niguarda is a large metropolitan hospital with a wide range of expertise for general care. It hosts all clinical and surgical specialties for adults and children, it is a reference centre for Milan, where it is based, for the Lombardy Region and for Italy. It carries out prevention, diagnosis and treatment activities within the National Health Service and training and research activities .

Alpha IVD S.p.A. (ALPHAIVD) - Beneficiary, involved in Research Nodes 3


Alpha IVD S.p.A. excels in medical diagnostics, focusing on innovative diagnostic systems, kits, and devices. Dr. Elif Akyuz, a company co-founder, leads Alpha IVD's involvement in the SEPSOT-CODE project. As a subsidiary of Anatolia Geneworks, a global molecular diagnostics manufacturer, Alpha IVD operates across eight countries.

Centro di Ricerca Genomica per la salute CRGS scarl (CRGS) - Beneficiary, involved in Research Nodes 3


The Genome Research Center for Health is an high-capacity Research Infrastructure in Campania of strategic interest, where basic and translational research in Genomics and Bioinformatics are combined. The CRGS is fully empowered with cutting-edge technologies for structural and functional studies based on high-throughput genome, epigenome, transcriptome, and metagenome sequencing. The focus is to manage a technologically advanced Infrastructure for research, dissemination, and exploitation of results. The IR is divided into three strategic hubs:
   Hub 1 is located within the Medicine Campus of the University of Salerno (SA)
   HUB 2 is located within the BIOGEM Scarl in Ariano Irpino (AV)
   HUB 3 is located within the University of Sannio (BN)
