PhD ONE HEALTH

The National PhD Program in "One health approaches to infectious diseases and life science research " is designed for students motivated to pursue a research career in fields spanning biomedical, veterinary, biological, chemical, pharmaceutical, statistical, and methodological sciences, as well as environmental, technical, and social sciences related to public health. This initiative involves 14 Italian universities and 9 research institutions distributed across the country—including the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (Italian National Institute of Health), the National Research Council (CNR), the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institutes (IZS), various foundations, and IRCCS (Research Hospitals)—working together in an integrated network.

It brings together diverse voices to build a research ecosystem through a unifying cultural vision, reflecting the core concept of the INF-ACT Extended Partnership: "One Health Basic and Translational Actions Addressing Unmet Needs on Emerging Infectious Diseases."
