Throughout my career, I have developed and applied new methods to understand cell biology and disease mechanisms. During my PhD, I gained expertise in in vitro cultures, microscopy, molecular biology, and bioinformatics, using multi-omics approaches to study cell interactions and pathophysiology, with a particular focus on rare genetic diseases. After completing my PhD, I continued my research at the University of Verona, further deepening my knowledge in cellular and genomic biology. In 2020, I joined the Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases and Microbiology (DITM) at IRCCS Sacro Cuore Don Calabria Hospital as a researcher. Here, I apply my expertise in genomics and cellular biology to study viral and parasitic infections. I am currently involved in several research projects aimed at characterizing host-pathogen interactions and studying the evolution of various infectious diseases.
